A Nonprofit Corporation organized under New Jersey Law
Those of us as Members of the U.S.A. HORSE SHOWS ASSOCIATION, Inc.
An Affiliated National Association of the Federation (USEF)

COMMUNICATION is our Misson
An Association of Inclusion where No One is left OUT

Everyone Starts at the "GRASSROOTS"

OUR PURPOSE                                               KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Rather than wait for someone else to organize programs for us, let us accept the responsibilities in these matters. We can create and design our own levels and awards to qualify and measure our progress, and we can ALL have a hands-on opportunity to make horse shows better, to maintain the level playing field for everyone who wants to enjoy our sport. It is we alone that can end the cynicism and malaise to improve attitudes toward competition through education and understanding of each other. No one understands our sport better than we do.

This is our moment in time to make difference

We share much more than we differ. We all speak the same language "Horse"
and we all belong to the same family of the "Horse".

Our Vision:
"The Sportsman's Charter"

That Sport is something done for the fun of doing it and that it ceases to be sport when it becomes a business only, something done for what there is in it;
That amateurism is something of the heart and spirit - not a matter of exact technical qualifications;
That the good manners of sport are fundamentally important;
That the code must be strictly upheld;
That the whole structure of sport is not only preserved from the absurdity of undue importance, but is justified by a kind of romance which animates it, and by the positive virtues of courage, patience, good temper and unselfishness which are demanded by the code;
That the exploitation of sport for profit alone kills the spirit and retains only the husk and semblance of the thing.
That the qualities of frankness, courage and sincerity which mark the good sportsman in private life shall mark the discussion of his interests at a show.
as published in the AHSA Rules Book 1976
it's still there in the Rule Book but we're not there anymore!

We believe we all have the equal

 RIGHT TO KNOW what the Officers, Governors, Directors and Committees
are proposing to make the competition better for all of us for discussion.

 RIGHT TO BE HEARD so they are representing the interests of all of the members whether Amateur, Professional, Show Management, or Licensed Officials at all of their meetings and that they reflect the needs and interests from all levels of competition.

 RIGHT TO VOTE is a part of our membership duties and not a privilege to be  dispensed by the few when they choose.

The Paradox to be Resolved:

Should the Show Managers be grateful that the Competitors are willing to come to the horse competition?
Or
Should the Competitors be grateful that the Show Managers are willing to run horse competitions for them?
Or
Are they each half of a whole and without either one is there still a  horse sport?

2008 No Awards Presentation

usAHSA Membership Form

usAHSA Sponsorship Application

We're Back!
and need your HELP!

The USEF has decided that it is against their rules for us to benefit  our Members as Exhibitors. Even though everyone is welcome to join us and we do not discriminate for breed or discipline.

The Memberships we collect each year were used to pay for Trophies and Ribbons that we as "usAHSA" Awarded to encourage those from the "grassroots" who are usually not honored. In exchange we pre-paid a credit at participating shows for our Members of $5.00 towards each class they entered at a sanctioned show.

This encouraged our Membership" as well. But, now without that benefit I don't know if we can get enough paid Memberships to cover these costs.

We have had to CANCEL our participation in the Northeast Regional Awards at the Annual Presentation. UNLESS you will help us. Above are the FACTS and the Applications for Membership or Donations.

It's been a really tough Year here in New Jersey. Have you heard about the new Highlands Act?

It's ANTI-HORSE be wary, it's coming to yuor state soon.
